Location - Lawrence, Kansas
We chose to hold our wedding in Lawrence, Kansas. This is where Sarah is originally from and where her family currently lives. Lawrence is a really cool town with a very unique vibe - it's sort of this liberal oasis in the heart of republicanville. One of the things that we really liked about Lawrence was the downtown area. It's pretty self contained, so it will allow those coming in from out of town the convenience of having everything within a short distance from their hotel. Lawrence is home to the University of Kansas, and it definitely has a college town feel - good bars, restaurants and novelty stores. Plenty of stuff for people to check out during their stay.
